Woodstock ’69 took some time to find its permanent home in Bethel, New York.
After the third location rejected the festival in July, just weeks before the event, panic ensued.
Fortunately, Max Yasgur stepped in and offered his farm in Bethel as the new venue for Woodstock. Despite the change in location, the event retained the name Woodstock due to prior talent bookings.
